Educational Tour of Manipur Students.

Support for educational tour of students from Mao to Mumbai
J V Gokal Charity Trust supported this tour under educational development program for 29 students form ASUFU CHRISTIAN INSTITUTE (Institute located at Punanamei Village, near Mao Gate, Senapati District, Manipur) visited Mumbai City from 31st October to 5th November 2014.

Students visited following institutes during their visit to Mumbai.

Relief for Jammu & Kashmir (J&K)

Distribution of 5000 pieces of blankets.
J V Gokal Charity Trust & Sri Krishna Foundation, Mumbai are working for downtrodden community by means of supporting various charitable projects across the country. They also extend their hands in relief operations during disasters and emergencies. Looking at current situation post floods in Jammu & Kashmir, trustees of J V Gokal Charity Trust & Sri Krishna Foundation have sent 5000 pieces of blankets for the benefit of the flood affected people in said area.

This relief material is distributed in partnership with Mission Sadbhawana, which is an NGO run by Indian Military.

Community Health Camps in Alibaug Taluka

JV Gokal Charity Trust is partnering with Late. Sudhatai Oak Pratishthan, an organisation working for the welfare of indigenous population in Alibaug Block of Raigadh district for furthering their objects in offering healthcare services to poor & needy population. J V Gokal Charity Trust is supporting this organisation for conducting periodical health check-up camps. During these health check-up camps following services are offered:

 ANC (AnteNatal Check-up) for pregnant mothers.
 General Health Check Up & Treatment.
 Referral Services.
 This activity helps in early detection of disease among tribal community.
 Free Deliveries for tribal women are conducted at Dr. Oak’ Ashvini Hospital.
 Motivating tribal women institutional delivery, helps to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality.

Mobile Medical Unit Inauguration

J V Gokal Charity Trust has started community health care project in the form of mobile medical units and pathology laboratory at YMC’s existing hospital, Tara. Mobile Medical Units were launched on 5th December' 2013.

Hospital Bhoomipujan at Village Tara, Panvel, Dist - Raigad, Maharashtra.

J. V. Gokal Charity Trust (JVGCT) decided to set up Hospital and Community Health Care Services for the underprivileged and needy community in the State of Maharashtra in association with Yusuf Meherally Centre (YMC). Bhoomipujan of said project was done at the auspicious hand of Mr. Sunil Tatkare, (Minister for Water Resources Maharashtra State & Guardian Minister, Raigadh District) in presence of Dr. G. G. Parikh (Chair-Person, Yusuf Meherally Centre).

School Health Camp, Tara Raigad.

Students from schools are priority area for J V Gokal Trust. The trust is committed to render health care to these students. Periodic medical check-up camps and health awareness programs are conducted by the trust at various schools. After conducting medical tests on such students, for students suffering from anaemia, trust has started nutritional supplement program for students of Yusuf Meherally School at Tara.

Mobile Medical Van Visits, Tara Raigad

Our mobile medical units (MMU) regularly visit designated villages in Panvel and Pen blocks of Raigad district. MMU team members are committed to serve needy population through doorstep health delivery model. Many have benefitted through trust’ MMU services.

Cataract Screening Camp, Manipur.

Manipur is one off the high focused state in north east part of India. Due to hilly terrain & inadequate health infrastructure many individuals do not get access to quality and speciality health care. Project Team of J V Gokal Charity Trust has conducted cataract screening camp in these hilly terrains and this was first eye camps conducted in this area.

After first cataract screening camp, project team conducted first cataract surgery camps at Community Health Centre, Mao. This camp was hosted by Community Health Centre, Mao, Manipur.

In-TOUCH, an organisation working in Manipur regularly conducts health camps in Mao area. J V Gokal Charity Trust is participating in these health camps since 2012 which helps us for reaching needy through health care.

Carrier guidance for students in North East States of India.

J V Gokal Charity Trust has been organizing health camps in Mao area of Manipur to provide the health care to needy community since 2012. Through implementing health care activities in the area, project team also identified the other areas of intervention i.e. education. Along with our existing health activities, the project team is working with the youths of local colleges. Project team organized the personality development and inspirational lectures to motivating the tribal students.

Pathology Laboratory, Tara, Raigad - Maharashtra.

Patients from villages need to travel to Panvel or Pen for various diagnostic tests. As suggested by authorities of Yusuf Meherally Centre, our organisation has stated pathology laboratory at YMC’s existing hospital. J V Gokal Charity Trust has employed qualified team for this lab. This activity is helping us to reduce travel cost to the patient.
